Our Story
Born from Purpose.
Yala began as a nonprofit halal restaurant in Staten Island - built so wages, food costs, and overhead are covered, and profits fund humanitarian aid through the Umma Foundation. As demand grew, Yala created a franchise path: a for-profit opportunity designed to expand the concept while connecting growth to measurable impact.
Every Yala location powers the Hope Bus - delivering free halal meals to communities in need across the country. When you franchise with Yala, you are not just opening a restaurant. You are joining a movement.

Trust
Halal with Integrity.
Your customers trust what they eat because we never compromise on sourcing, preparation, or standards. Every ingredient is verified, every supplier is vetted, and every process is designed for consistency across locations.
If you are evaluating a franchise, this is what matters: repeatability, sourcing integrity, and a standard your market can trust.
HFA Certified
Every location holds Halal Food Authority certification for kitchen and supply chain.
Zabihah Standards
All meat prepared following authentic zabihah practices - no exceptions.
Vetted Suppliers
Every supplier audited and approved for halal compliance before a single order ships.
